D&G or Desnoes & Geddes Ltd was formed in 1918 by Eugene Peter Desnoes and Thomas Hargreaves Geddes, who combined their two shops into one business. The two having met earlier while Desnoes was employed as a 12-year-old "door opener" at the West Indies Mineral and Table Water Company. The two opened a brewery in Kingston and went from strength to strength, producing top quality Jamaican soft and alcoholic drinks.

Old Jamaica Ginger Beer, Ting and Sodas became available in the UK in 1988 and have been popular here ever since.
